This photo makes the cake look pretty decent. It had already started leaning when this photo was taken, and when it came time to cut the cake (about 30 minutes later) it had fallen over completely. I also realized (after the cake was half-eaten) that I had forgotten the mini Oreos for the helicopter wheels. Oh well. I still consider it a success!

Ryan's Helicopter Cake
Well, I'm not too impressed with my job of decorating the cake, but it tasted fine despite the fact that I felt like I overcooked it. I say, load it up with sugaring frosting and you won't be able to tell the difference! Just kidding--actually, one reason why I continue to be impressed with this chocolate cake recipe is that is stays so moist.
